Residing in the Chicagoland suburbs, I grew up having plenty of opportunities and paths to choose for my life. Throughout my school years I would come to find my passion for the arts. I've always loved illustrating and drawing, and in high school I was introduced to darkroom photography. I fell in love with the tragically fading process, but from there I gained knowledge in digital photography and computer graphics.
While I focus on my strengths of illustration and photography within my career, I can't help myself from picking up little hobbies along the way. From sculpture to cosplay, jewelry to leatherworking, my interests know no bounds and I always have the need to create.
I continue to live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, and am willing to work with anyone in the greater Chicagoland area. I am occasionally in other areas of the Midwest for conventions. I will work with any age range and even animals.
My Inspiration
My main focus is illustration. From a young age I have always loved to draw, but I love creating, no matter the medium. While illustrating I usually prefer graphite or colored pencils, but I am additionally experienced with charcoal and pastels. I recently better familiarized myself with painting. I prefer acrylics, gouache, and ink. I have also been expanding more into the digital field, working mostly in Photoshop, but occasionally with Adobe Illustrator and Clip Studio Paint as well.
Alongside illustration, I love photography. I mainly specialize in portraits and landscapes, but I will never say no to something new and interesting. I have been using film and digital cameras since high school, starting around 2007. This time has given me plenty of experience in darkroom processing, photography, and editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop. In all of my photoshoots I like to have fun, capturing the subjects as if the camera isn't there; in every sense of the word 'candid'.
Children look at things in this world with such imagination and wonder, with completely unbiased eyes. I want my art to actively channel those views, capturing and portraying the subject as true and pure as it is. My hope is that in sharing my art with people I can help bring this view back to them and give them a new way to look at the world.
